I advocate for patients, not for corporations See below for Covid information**
I believe that all parts of our body and our lives are interconnected. If one part is off it can affect everything else. I treat the patient in the context of their whole life. Your body, your mind, and the world in which you live. We don't live in isolation so everything we put into our bodies, everything we think and feel, and everything that is happening around us contributes to our health. I am an osteopathic physician specializing in general medicine* and osteopathic manipulative treatment. As a fully licensed physician, I have at my disposal all the technology and drugs of modern medicine, but I begin with the basics: Lifestyle, Nutrition, Stress Reduction and Exercise
Though sometimes we need a little extra help. That can be in the form of pharmaceuticals, proper alignment through Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, supplements or simply dietary changes
I keep up to date on the latest data and research and offer the most recent recommendations.
I have been practicing in New York City for 12 years. I graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did my post-graduate training at Long Beach Medical Center in New York and UMDNJ Health System in New Jersey. I am also a professional musician, artist and writer. Read about my music and medicine
*Please Note: While I practice general medicine I do not act as a Primary Care Physician for patients
**COVID information:
These are uncertain times. But I am committed to continuing to care for my patients. I am seeing patients in person on a limited basis and necessary precautions are being taken. In lieu of in person visits, for those who do not want to travel, I am doing telemedicine visits for my established patients. Despite not being able to do hands on work with telemedicine, these visits are very successful with patients. For schedule and booking
Please reach out to me or another healthcare professional if you have any of the following symptoms of Covid-19: Fever, Cough, or Shortness of Breath Other reported symptoms include: Fatigue, Malaise, and Body Aches
Recent updates on COVID-19: 1. Testing for Covid-19 or the antibodies will be determined by your physician. 2. If you are having symptoms which do not require hospitalization, then STAY HOME. It is safer for everyone. And You do NOT need a test. Testing doesn't change management of your symptoms. 3. Go out for food, medication, healthcare appointments or outdoor activities with proper social distancing. It will minimize the risk of transmission to others. If you are severely ill (high fever, difficulty breathing) seek immediate emergency medical care. 4. Wear Face covers in public 5. Updates From theCDC
I also I want to share the current advice from the health care industry: Keep safe social distances, wear a face mask. Stay away from people who are ill. Wash your hands frequently and for 20 seconds and especially after touching shared spaces. Do not touch your face. Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing and DO NOT use your hands. Keep your work space clean. Regular household cleaners will suffice. Work from home. Wear a mask anytime you are in public. Get a flu shot if you have not already done so. Avoid travelling. These measures are not only for your safety but for the safety of those more susceptible to the virus.
